AMTRAK | Philadelphia, PA
Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, Amtrak’s ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is a multi-year program developed to bring stations into compliance with ADA requirements as quickly and as efficiently as possible in order to provide the best possible service to passengers with disabilities. This multi-billion-dollar program is being managed from Amtrak’s Program Management Office in Philadelphia, PA. LS Gallegos has provided project management support personnel integrated with Amtrak personnel since 2009. To meet the schedule to bring all stations into compliance by fiscal year 2027, the ADASP team has grown into a robust program made up of 85 staff members, 69 of which are program consultants in a Joint Venture. The ADASP team takes all improvements from conception through design and construction. LS Gallegos, as a subconsultant, is providing 11 staff members including Document Control Managers and Specialists, Contract Administrators, Cultural Resource Managers, as well as a Program Coordinator and an Invoice Control Specialist. LS Gallegos is proud to have contributed to the development of program delivery methods that have been so successful Amtrak has adopted them on other Amtrak programs. LS Gallegos’ Contract Administrator/Sourcing Manager and Specialists have successfully vetted and prequalified additional construction firms to meet the aggressive project schedule. LS Gallegos’ Cultural Resource Managers have successfully consulted with State Historic Preservation Offices nationwide to assist Design Engineers in delivering plans that solve ADA compliance issues while preserving historic buildings and protecting tribal lands. LS Gallegos’ Document Management team successfully managed the migration and implementation of Oracle Unifier in 2021, training over 200 Amtrak and JV staff.
