CDOT Off-System Bridge Inspections

LSG is currently providing bridge inspection services for CDOT Region 1 off-system (local) bridges. Through a state-run contract, our firm assists local city and county entities with inspecting their structures, updating their bridge inventory, and reporting as is federally required to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Set in an urban or suburban environment in and around metropolitan Denver, these structures range from concrete or steel culverts to large multi-span prestressed girder bridges, some over major interstates.

LSG has the responsibility for the inspection and reporting of 40+ off-system structures per year. Specific project tasks include coordination with other consultants, physical and visual inspection of the bridges, measurement of stream profiles and highway dynamic envelopes, data recording and entry in the state System for Inspection and Management of Structural Assets (SIMSA), structure reporting, notification of critical findings, compilation of maintenance items, and overall QC/QA of field data and project deliverables.
