Denver International Airport | Denver, CO
The $2.2B Great Hall Renovation is a multiphase, multi-year project that updates the original 1995 Jeppesen Terminal at Denver International Airport. The project is replacing all of the existing ticketing counters on level 6 with new ticketing pods with airline kiosks, self-bag drops, a 5-foot-high wraparound LED digital display wall, new terrazzo flooring, lighting, ceilings and restrooms. The security checkpoints are being relocated, with new queuing vestibules and TSA equipment. In addition, the 6th floor was extended inward by 30 feet on the east and west sides of the Great Hall to provide space for the relocated security screening areas and for additional retail spaces.
As prime consultant for the On-Call Project Management Support Services (PMSS) Contract for the Special Projects Division on the Great Hall Project, LS Gallegos is leading a team of nine subcontractors with the capability and flexibility to provide any type of technical resource that might be required. Our team is currently providing key support personnel with expertise in project management, design, construction management, contracts/procurement, project controls, cost estimating, scheduling, permitting, public information and Operational Readiness Activation and Transition (ORAT). Our support team allows DEN to implement three projects – the Great Hall Remodel and two baggage handling modification projects. Similar to the PPRTA program, our team coordinates its efforts with different departments within DEN, TSA, the airlines, the FAA and other stakeholders. Our team members report directly to DEN’s Senior Vice President of Special Projects.
