PRT Bridge and Tunnel Inspection and Engineering Services

LSG is currently providing tunnel inspection services for Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) through a multi-year open end contract. As a key subconsultant, LSG is able to leverage its significant tunnel inspections, rehabilitation, and asset management expertise to the transit authority in helping to manage its tunnel assets. PRT owns (8) diverse tunnels throughout the City of Pittsburgh with a variety of different construction types and use cases. In addition to several transit tunnels with catenary and rail, the PRT’s inventory includes one HOV (automobile only), one busway, and one mixed-use (buses and LRV) tunnels.

LSG provides ongoing support for the tunnel inspection, reporting, and asset management for the PRT tunnels, assisting with logistics, planning, traffic control, mobilization in addition to typical inspection and reporting functions.
